Experience the enjoyment of ATV riding in Clymer Township while prioritizing safety! Follow local regulations, and respect the environment to have a fun and enjoyable ride for everyone. From Clymer Township you can enter Westfield Township, Chatham Township, Shippen Township, Gaines Township and Hector Township in Potter County, PA. Let’s keep our roads safe and accessible for all riders by practicing good riding habits. Please be considerate of the residents living on these roads by slowing down to prevent dust storms! Join us in promoting a culture of safety on every adventure!
Please only ride on roads that are marked legal to ride.
Respect those living on the road and do not go into fields or waters that belong to others!
Township approved roads will display the "ATV ROUTE" SIGN at the end of the road.

Northcentral Regional ATV Trail
2026 season opens on Friday, May 22, 2026 and closes on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
The current area of the NRAT COG is the four-county region in northcentral Pa consisting of Clinton, Lycoming, Potter and Tioga Counties.
Riding Pennsylvania's Northcentral Regional ATV Trail requires the purchase of a yearly permit.

What is a Council of Governments (COG)?
A voluntary regional structure of local governments working together to solve shared challenges
For NRAT specifically, the COG will manage the trail network locally, incorporating input and guidance from agencies and partners
At its core, the NRAT COG will shift decision-making, leadership, and management from DCNR to a local collaborative of governments, while maintaining active engagement and strong relationships with agency partners, organizations, and user groups
Mission
The Northcentral Regional ATV Trail (NRAT) COG mission is to facilitate a safe and sustainable motorized trail network that empowers rural communities to foster conservation and economic growth.
Service Area
The current service area of the NRAT COG is the four-county region in northcentral Pennsylvania consisting of Clinton, Lycoming, Potter, and Tioga Counties. Once established, there is potential for the COG to expand to include counties and municipalities beyond the current footprint.

Beechwood Lake

Located in Clymer Township, Beechwood Lake is a 67-acre impoundment owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and managed by the Fish and Boat Commission for public fishing and boating. The Commission stocks Beechwood Lake with trout. It is designed as: Stocked Trout Waters Open to Year Round Fishing. The Commission also stocks the lake with Walleye Fingerling. Boating is limited to boats powered by electric motors and un-powered boats.
